“Labtarna” is an independent accredited laboratory. Company began business in 1996. It was the first Lithuanian laboratory that obtained the accreditation according to LST EN 45001 standard. At the moment “Labtarna” is accredited by the German Accreditation Service (DGA) according to the international DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard.
The main activity of "Labtarna" are chemical, microbiological and physical agriculture (grain and grain products, compound feed and raw materials for their manufacture, oilseed), food, water, solid biofuels tests. The object of tests is determined: organic substances (protein, fat, fibre, vitamins, etc.), inorganic materials (ash, trace elements, heavy metals, etc.), mycotoxins.
“Labtarna” is a member of international organization GAFTA (Grain and Feed Trade Association) and is certified to perform the analyses of Grain and Feedstuffs.
“Labtarna” laboratory is accredited by international organization FOSFA (The Federation of Oils, Seeds and Fats Associations Ltd) to perform oilseeds analyses.
Laboratory has Environmental Protection Agency licence to carry out surface-water and waste-water tests.
Laboratory works according to approved LST, EN, ISO, IEC standards, scientific literature and national and international regulations. It is the responsibility of laboratory to carry out its testing activities according to the requirements of LST EN ISO/IEC 17025 and LST EN ISO 15189 standards and to satisfy the needs of the customers and supervising organizations.
“Labtarna” staff - 35 employees. Chemists and microbiologists are qualified and experienced specialists. Successful participation in proficiency testing/inter-laboratory comparisons of grain, feedstuffs, water tests confirms high qualifications and experience of chemists and microbiologists.
